“Welcome to the American Jiu Jitsu Federation’s competition season, an experience that transcends a single event. This season is all about nurturing and celebrating a comprehensive display of talent across multiple levels. We focus on each athlete’s journey and development, emphasizing consistent performance throughout the entire season.

The season kicks off with the Friendship Invitational, an in-house Jiu Jitsu event designed to cultivate camaraderie and mutual respect among competitors. This inclusive gathering offers a welcoming environment for athletes, especially those participating in their first competition. Here, they can showcase their skills, learn from peers, and gain valuable experience in a supportive atmosphere.

Our approach prioritizes holistic development over individual achievements, fostering growth in technique, strategy, and sportsmanship. Participants are encouraged to engage in multiple competitions throughout the season, which helps build their confidence and adaptability. By promoting continuous improvement and friendly rivalry, we aim to elevate the entire community’s skill set and knowledge of American Jiu Jitsu.

The American Jiu Jitsu Federation’s competition season not only serves as a platform for athletes to shine but also encourages them to form lasting bonds with their peers. These relationships contribute to a richer, more engaging experience and create a strong sense of community within the art.

As the season progresses, athletes have the opportunity to showcase their growth and talents across a variety of events, honing their craft and gaining recognition within the Jiu Jitsu community. This approach helps identify rising stars and highlights the diversity of skills and techniques present in the art.

American Jiu Jitsu Federation’s competition season goes beyond individual events by fostering a supportive, talent-focused environment that encourages consistent improvement and camaraderie. This season offers a valuable opportunity for athletes to grow, learn, and connect with others in the vibrant world of American Jiu Jitsu.”

The American Jiu Jitsu Federation (AJJF) is introducing a new team competition format designed to foster collaboration, talent, and skill development among competitors. This innovative approach brings together teams of like-minded individuals to create a unified and successful competitive experience. The main aspects of the AJJF team competition include:

  • Team Composition: Each team consists of four active competitors, each from a different weight class or within 15 pounds of the competition weight limit. This structure encourages diversity and balance within each team.
  • Leadership and Strategy: Professors play a crucial role in leading their teams by guiding their choice of strategy and skill development to maximize the potential for victory.
  • Unified Format: All matches will adhere to consistent time, belt, and age group parameters, ensuring fair and equitable competition among participants.
  • Team Categories: Teams are categorized into four groups – A team, B team, C team, and D team – to create a structured and organized tournament experience.
  • Community Engagement: The AJJF aims to cultivate a depth of talent that the community can take pride in, with a focus on promoting dedication and honor in both competition and victory.
  • Goals and Vision: The overarching goal of the AJJF team competition is to elevate the level of skill and sportsmanship within the sport, while also fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among participants. This contributes to a vibrant and competitive environment for all involved.
