6 Pillars of American Jiu Jitsu

Pillar 1 – White Belts

Students of Jiu-Jitsu for the lifestyle of Jiu-Jitsu. The pillars of Jiu-Jitsu start with the mentors of the art who strive to leave a legacy and the path of Jiu-jitsu’s history. We all were white belts and followed the love to black belt and know now the 3 roads ahead.

White belts are the blood of life. American Jiu-Jitsu is the author of all you need to know. That includes etiquette, what you as a student need and how to prepare for the first 2 years of training. White belt Jiu-Jitsu is the pillar that will keep the truth alive and the education passed down to the next generation.

Pillar 2 – Advanced Belts

The advanced belts (blue, purple, and brown) are the force that push us to be great. We all have the people who gave us their knowledge and above all else, their time. These men, women, and families live the jiu-jitsu purpose. Day in and day out – starting at 2 days a week, increasing the training and earning the love of training 6 days a week.

Training for all is the wealth of what we establish here. What tempo is needed to achieve the training goal? Each belt promotion brings a new set of skills and which brings the truth of what each belt gives back to other students. This is our ultimate purpose is when training and these are the members who set the cultural tone.

Pillar 3 – Value your Training

Practitioner is the path that most follow, most value and above all, has the longest life of training. This path values personal fitness, mental gains, and results in success on and off the mats. The benefits include the discipline to manage time and mental health from training 3 days a week.   In addition, you family dedicated to seeing your progress to Black Belt. The belt system in American Jiu Jitsu is about the student and the expectations that come with each promotion.

We all begin at White belt and move up to fulfilling a dream.

Pillar 4 Competitor – Vision – Mission – Leadership

Welcome to Valhalla. No place on earth feels more alive than being on the mats, testing your wits, your life and moment of battle. To be clear, it’s a fight among a American Jiu Jitsu society where rules, honor and family are built.

The heart of competition is American Jiu Jitsu Art at its finest.  How we improve, how we grow, and how we truly live is the American Jiu Jitsu life. The best truth is that everyone can live is knowing your place in this art and being able to train with no injuries, train without the need to kill and train against the best.

What does it mean to be a competitor and what does it require? American Jiu Jitsu competition was designed to stand out, create honor and demonstrate who we are as a people in the Art Meets Life.

What does Art Meets Life mean? I feel from the soul of our creation that American Jiu Jitsu is the last truth in all martial arts and all abilities to define a martial art for every use in modern history.

Traditional martial arts all summed into striking and grappling, and the downside is there are only 4 recognized grappling centric ideology.  Judo – Wrestling ( Freestyle – Greco) Sambo and American Jiu Jitsu. We surmise effective, forever skill American Jiu Jitsu is the only one that once begun on the training path will forever change your soul.

Competition is a mindset, in training and in live fights. Let’s break down what we plan to establish and build as the purest form of American Jiu Jitsu Competition.

This is what all Jiu Jitsu should look like.

Why fight if it has no intention of being a submission

This Fight is all about the finish, American Jiu Jitsu Federation fully supports the submission mission

Pillar 5 Coach – Professor – King – God

The American Jiu Jitsu Federation will establish the rank and honor protocol, to be followed, taught and supported. We must identify the roles, expectations and above all else ensure the purity of each branch of American Jiu Jitsu. The fact the business owners, student coaches and the lifesblood of every school.

The Black Belt is the birth of your mind opening and building the global community of what embodies humility first and giving back next. The white tab reminds us all how far we have come, how far the path of educating ourselves in a skill forever.

The White Tab is worn for the first 3 Black Stripes on the Black Belt each being earned at every 3 year, training, teaching and bringing in new students to help your school grow and thrive.

This is also the fighters tab and should be recognized for that fact. The American Jiu Jitsu Federation lives by the respect given to each fighter or new black belt the time to grow into this new chapter of your life and what training can become. The new black belt has many tasks including training, teaching, and fighting.

All promotions will be awarded from the issuing king or equally ranked king. American Jiu Jitsu will host two times a year Federation Promotion event. Which leads us to our American Jiu Jitsu Federation advanced black belt promotions. The white bars are only for School owners or founding black belts.
